Checking & SavingsEach business membership starts with a $50 Membership Savings account, just like a personal membership. This is what establishes your member-owner share in the credit union. In addition, you're welcome to open as many other accounts (and take advantage of as many of our services) as you like.
Choose from the following options for more detailed information.
Business Checking Accounts
No two businesses are exactly alike, so no two business members will need exactly the same account. Depending upon how many checks you write, what balances you tend to keep in checking,
and other factors, you may find one of the following accounts to be the most beneficial for your company.
Please see our current Schedule of Fees to compare monthly service charges (and see how they can be waived).
Business Basic Checking
This simple non-dividend account offers the lowest monthly service fee and works best for companies that don't write a large volume of paper checks. The first 100 checks cleared per month are included, but the accounts below have higher allowances.
Business Interest Checking
Why not earn dividends on your business funds? This account pays you to use it (on amounts of $2,500 and up). Your first 150 checks (those cleared each month) are included.
Business Analysis Account
This checking account is best for those companies with a high volume of deposit and withdrawal activity. More checks are included per month (300) for the monthly service fee, and the account earns monthly dividends based on the daily collected balance.
Business Transfer Account
This is a checking account for businesses whose primary account activity consists of deposits and regular corporate withdrawals of deposits through Automated Clearing House (ACH) or similar methods. The account earns monthly dividends when there is a minimum daily balance of $50,000 or more.
Business Advantage Checking
This account is a good fit for businesses with a low volume of transaction activity. Its primary benefit is the inclusion of image check copies with each monthly statement. (Note that for E-Statements users, check images are made available in online banking.)
Business Interest Advantage Checking
Similar to the above account, this checking account type not only offers check copies with monthly statements, but also pays dividends on daily balances of $2,500 or more.
Business Analysis Advantage Checking
A combination of two of the above account types, this option is great for high-volume business members. It offers not only image check copies with each monthly statement, but also the opportunity to earn monthly dividends (on average daily balances of $5,000 and up).

Business Savings Accounts
Coast Central provides you with many options for saving your business funds. Review the following account types to find out which savings account(s) may be right for you!
Business Membership Savings
Like our personal Membership Savings account, this type of account is required for all business members to establish their membership with the credit union. $50.00 held here makes you eligible for all of the benefits of a business membership! You can use this as your primary savings account as well, or consider the following options for the rest of your funds.
Business Special Savings
If you'd like to open an additional savings account (or more than one) for other business purposes, this account can help you keep your funds separated. You might open one account for tax savings and another for a new project you're saving up for.
Business Liquid Assets
Similar to a money market account, this is a separate savings account which generally bears a higher dividend rate. You may prefer to separate funds for savings purposes in this type of account (more than one if you prefer), especially if you'll be maintaining high balances in these accounts.
Business No Dividend Savings
If, for legal reasons, you aren't able to earn dividends on your business funds, this account simply helps you save without accumulating dividends.

Business Visa Debit Card
Making payments from your business checking account is easier than ever with a Coast Central Visa Debit Card. Just slide your card at any merchant that accepts debit cards or
Visa credit cards, get cash at ATMs (at home, across the country, even internationally), or pay online or over the phone.
Using a Visa Debit Card is quicker, easier, and more secure than writing a paper check. The funds will generally be withdrawn or held immediately from your checking account, making it easier to track your spending.
Business Visa Debit Cards are ideal for sole proprietorships and may also be approved for partnerships and small closely-held corporations. Please contact our Member Support Center or your favorite New Accounts Representative if you have any questions.

Overdraft Protection
Everyone handles their checking account differently - that's why Coast Central offers multiple options for overdraft protection. Compare your options below.
Automatic Transfer
You can designate another sub-account (or up to four) to enable automatic transfers to your checking account in the event of an overdraft. A small fee is charged each time such a transfer needs to be made, but transfers are made in increments of $100 (when possible) to prevent the need for additional transfers and fees. Your transactions will go through as long as you have sufficient funds in your designated overdraft protection accounts.
Courtesy Pay
After having a checking account with Coast Central for some time, you may qualify for our Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection services. If approved, when an overdraft occurs, our system will check all of your designated overdraft protection accounts as usual. But, if sufficient funds aren't present in any of those accounts, Courtesy Pay allows your transactions (including fees) to clear up to a $1,500 limit ($800 for personal accounts). The fee for each transaction Courtesy Pay must cover is higher than an overdraft transfer fee (see above), but can help you out when being sure that transactions clear is a priority.
