Signing Up for Coast Central Online
In order to use Coast Central Online, you'll need to sign up (or enroll) for access. If you haven't done so already, fill out our quick Online Banking Application
and return it to any of our locations in person or by mail. You should be set up for online access in three to five business days, at which point you'll receive a letter welcoming you to the service.
When selecting your PIN (personal identification number), be sure to use a unique number that only you (and any other joint members, if you have any) will remember. Don't use your birthdate, address, phone number, or other information
that would be easy for someone else to guess. Make sure you use numbers only as letters are not allowed.
Logging In for the First Time
Visit our online banking login page (always accessible here under "For Members"). Click the link on this page that says, "Click here to enroll
for Multi-Factor Authentication." This will guide you through the process of setting up your account's security features.
Note: If you enter your member number and security code on the login page, or here on our website, that will work as well. When you see a screen asking you to answer a security question, skip the question
and click "Enroll now" below.
Before you can set up your security features, you'll need to log in. This will be your first chance to practice using our virtual keyboard to enter your PIN.
First, type in your member number in the top
box, then use your mouse to click on the virtual keys below, one at a time, to enter your PIN.
Make sure each digit highlights in BLUE as you click it, as shown here.
As each digit is entered, a bullet () or asterisk (*)
will appear in the box above the virtual keyboard. If you have any doubt about the accuracy of your entry, check the number of digits in this box to be sure. You can use the Del button in the lower
right corner of the virtual keyboard to erase digits and/or start over.
When you're done, enter the security code as it is shown beneath the virtual keyboard, and press "SUBMIT."
Next, you'll be asked to set up your security questions. One of these will be asked each time you log in to online banking, unless you choose to register your computer (see below). You may choose from
our pre-selected questions or create your own by typing them in. Be careful with the wording of your answers, since complicated input/punctuation can be hard to remember later on. Choose simple,
meaningful questions and answers that only you (and anyone else who uses this account) will remember.
The last step on this page is to enter a "security image," which is a secret word or phrase that you'd like to show up each time you log in. This indicates that you're on the correct website, helping
you to identify fraudulent duplicate sites (see our Online FAQs for more information). When you're done, press "SUBMIT." You'll be logged into online banking.
Everyday Login
The login process is much simpler after the first time. Once you've completed the initial setup, you'll be asked to enter your member number and security code, along with one security question and your PIN (using the virtual keyboard, as you learned to do above).
If you choose to "register" your computer, you won't have to answer a security question each time you log in. You are able to make this selection at any time - just click next to "Register this computer"
below the virutal keyboard while entering your PIN. You may change your preference (and "unregister" your computer) any time as well, in this same location.
If using a public or shared computer, we do not recommend registering your computer. Security questions exist to keep your account safe, so you'll only want to skip this step on computers with limited
users (preferably no more than yourself and any others with joint access to your account).
