Annual Member Meeting & Board Election
Coast Central Credit Union held its Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 20, 2014, reviewing 2013 performance and announcing the results of recent Board elections. Ron Rudebock, Chairman of the Board, presided over the meeting, and Bob Gearheart, Treasurer, reported on the positive growth and financial health of the credit union. Coast Central’s President/CEO, Dean G. Christensen stated that, “We are extremely proud of Coast Central’s ongoing success, the high quality of service that we provide, and the value we return to our membership.”
The highlights of Coast Central Credit Union’s 2013 financial results include; asset growth of $27.8 million to $999,583,330; net income after expenses of $7.3 million, and loan growth to $441.5 million. Membership increased by 3,690 new members, bringing total membership to nearly 60,000 (which represents 1/3 of the population of the tri-county area). Other highlights include; Coast Central’s ongoing community support, with $250,000 distributed through sponsorships, grants and scholarships. Recognition for the credit unions success came from our members, who gave Coast Central the highest quality service rating in the history of our survey; from the Times Standard reader’s poll, rating Coast Central “Best Credit Union/Bank” for past twelve years; and from BauerFinancial who awarded its top 5-star rating for financial strength and stability for 78 consecutive quarters. Recent Board election results were also announced. Returning to the Board for three year terms are Kelly Walsh and John Gladding, and Robin Bailie was announced as a new Board member. Karen Zimbelman was re-elected to the Supervisory Committee for a three year term.
