Ed Christians Joins Coast Central as Vice President, Information Systems

EUREKA –Ed Christians joins Coast Central Credit Union as Vice President, Information Systems.  In making this appointment, the credit union’s President/CEO Dean G. Christensen stated that “Christians comes to us with twenty years of experience in Information Technology and most recently from the I.T. department of University Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas. Ed brings a depth and breadth of experience to Coast Central’s Senior Management team.  He will be instrumental in driving the credit union’s mission to provide exceptional service and value to our members.”

Christians brings a solid educational background, receiving a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Kettering (GMI) University, an MSEE in Electrical Engineering (Solid State and Computer Architecture) from Purdue University and an MBA in Management of Information Systems from St. Edwards University.  Ed and his wife, Beth, enjoy scuba diving, swimming, dog fostering, church involvement, and, of course, computers.

In addition, Dean G. Christensen announced that Glenn Powell has retired after serving the credit union since 1980. He was appointed as Vice President, Information Systems in 2000.   “In the past thirty-three years, Glenn has been a very important, hardworking and dedicated member of our team.  He has contributed greatly to our many years of outstanding performance,” he said.  “On behalf of the credit union’s volunteer Board of Directors, its Supervisory Committee, management and staff, I wish Glenn and his wife, Vicky all the best as they enter another exciting chapter in their lives.”
