At Coast Central Credit Union, we’re committed to keeping you informed about your accounts, services, and opportunities that may benefit you. To comply with federal regulations, we’re updating how we manage communication preferences and may ask you to confirm how you’d like to hear from us.
What is TCPA?
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is a federal law that regulates certain phone calls and text messages. The law requires businesses, including financial institutions, to obtain consent before using certain types of calls or text messages.
What does this mean for you?
You may be asked to indicate whether you would like to receive:
- Non-Marketing Communications: Account-related information such as loan applications, membership services, account updates, and other important servicing communications.
- Marketing Communications: Promotional offers, special programs, product information, and other marketing messages.
You can choose to opt in or opt out of each type independently based on your preferences.
Why should I opt in?
By opting in, you allow Coast Central to communicate with you more effectively about:
- Your accounts and services
- Loan applications and updates
- Important notifications and reminders
- Products and services that may support your financial goals
Opting in helps ensure you receive timely information and updates that may be important to your relationship with the credit union.
How do I update my communications choice?
You can choose to either opt-in or opt-out by visiting a Member Services Branch and talking with a representative or contacting the Member Services Center at (707) 445-8801.
Will opting out stop all communications?
No. Even if you choose to opt out of certain calls or text messages, Coast Central may still contact you when necessary for critical account servicing, including:
- Fraud prevention
- Security alerts
- Legal notices
- Other communications permitted by law
Can I change my preferences later?
Absolutely. Your communication preferences belong to you and can be updated at any time by contacting Coast Central Credit Union.
One Preference Across All Your Accounts
Your TCPA preferences apply to you as an individual member or signer rather than to specific accounts. Whether you’re associated with personal, business, trust, or multiple account types, your selected preferences will apply across your relationship with Coast Central.
Thank you for helping us stay connected in the way that works best for you. We appreciate the opportunity to serve your financial needs and look forward to continuing to support you.
