2016’s Second Round of Community Grants Announced!

Four community grants totaling $50,000 have been awarded by Coast Central Credit Union.  This was announced today by Dean G. Christensen, the credit union’s President/CEO.  To date, the credit union has awarded $900,000 to 75 worthwhile community organizations.  As part of its Community Investment Program, the credit union’s volunteer Board of Directors approved the following community awards: $20,000 to the Turner House Project (Eureka), to support the purchase of a housing facility for at-risk teenagers and young adults $12,650 to the Arcata Volunteer Fire Department to support the purchase of thermal imaging cameras to enable firefighters to better perform during …


Coast Central passes an important milestone!

Member-owned Coast Central Credit Union recently surpassed a major milestone—over $1 Billion dollars in member deposits! This $1 Billion dollars, from our over 63,000 members in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity Counties, is carefully managed and invested to benefit our members with higher dividend rates on deposit accounts, and lower interest rates on loans. Robert Machado joins Coast Central Credit Union

Robert Machado is the new Coast Central Credit Union Manager, Member Services for the Crescent City location. Over the past 20 years, Machado has split his time between managing a Union Bank Branch and serving as a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer for the biggest builder in the Central Valley. Coast Central Matching Donations to Help With Local Forest Fires

Coast Central Credit Union is matching up to $2,500 in community donations to help with local forest fire relief efforts in Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity Counties. In addition to matching donations, Coast Central will facilitate the purchase and delivery of goods to local volunteer groups already aiding victims of the fires. The money will be used to purchase bottled water, sleeping bags, filtration masks and other needed supplies for the affected families.
