Coast Central Announces a Total of $100,000 in Grants Awarded

Coast Central Credit Union President/CEO James T. Sessa announced that its Board of Directors has approved $100,000 in grants through its Community Investment Program’s fall round to eight local organizations. A total of 30 non-profits had requested nearly $400,000.  Coast Central also supports its communities through sponsorship, college scholarship, and employee volunteer programs. Coast Central Credit Union (CCCU) announced that the fall 2021 round of its Community Investment Program is now open. A total of $100,000 is available to support local organizations throughout its tri-county area. Grant amounts generally range from $3,000 to $25,000, and there are usually 8 to 12 recipients. The giving program was created in 2008, and since then has awarded a total of over $1.5 million to 165 organizations throughout Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties. Coast Central Credit Union announced it is currently accepting applications for its college scholarships, available to all high school seniors graduating this year from schools in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties. Generally, up to 13 scholarships are awarded in the amount of $5,000 each, disbursed over a four-year period. Recipients are required to attend Humboldt State, Chico State, College of the Redwoods, or Shasta College for at least the first two years. Lisa Landry Promoted to Coast Central Member Services Manager

Coast Central Credit Union (CCCU) announced that Lisa Landry, previously Senior Member Services Supervisor at its McKinleyville location, has assumed the role of Member Services Manager at its Bayshore Mall location in Eureka, reporting to VP Member Services Kristin Blair. The location reopened earlier this month, offering seven-day-a-week banking. Lisa oversees a team of 18 employees and is responsible for operations, lending, and new member opportunities.
