January 20, 2023 Coast Central Credit Union announced the completion by local artist Olivia Fox of a mural on a fenced enclosure in the parking lot of its Eureka Downtown location at 4th and F Streets. A project that began in September, the mural represents the organization’s longtime “People Helping People” approach of substantial community giving through grants, sponsorships, college scholarships, and employee volunteerism. Coast Central Credit Union President/CEO James T. Sessa announced that its Board of Directors has approved $100,000 in grants through its Community Investment Program’s spring round to 12 local organizations, bringing the total awarded to $2 million since 2008. Coast Central Credit Union announced that Fred J. Moore III, CPA, VP Chief Financial Officer, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, working closely with President/CEO James T. Sessa to lead and manage the credit union. Coast Central Credit Union announced that Ashley Bott has been promoted to Manager, Specialty Member Services (previously known as Risk Management). Ashley is responsible for the oversight and direction of all activities related to Coast Central’s cannabis-related pilot program, including its team of six employees, member accounts, vendor relations, and adherence to strict policies and procedures related to these services. Coast Central Credit Union President/CEO James T. Sessa announced that its Board of Directors has selected 19 exceptional high school seniors for 2022 scholarships out of nearly 60 applications submitted, an increase from 11 last year.  Scholarships are based on the ability to overcome adversity, academic performance or improvement, and commitment to making a positive impact on their schools and communities.  Each recipient receives a total of $5,000 over four years, and must attend either Cal Poly Humboldt, Chico State, College of the Redwoods, or Shasta College for at least the first two years.   2022 recipients Academy of the …
