Coast Central Credit Union (CCCU) announced it is currently accepting applications for college scholarships, available to graduating high school seniors in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.  Scholarships are awarded in the amount of up to $5,000 each, disbursed over a four-year period. Arcata House Partnership Receives $70,000 to Initiate New Job Training Program

As a fall 2023 recipient of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco’s (FHLBank San Francisco) AHEAD Economic Development Grant Program, Arcata House Partnership (AHP) recently received a disbursement of $70,000 facilitated by Coast Central Credit Union. The program had announced the grants in September. AHP provides permanent housing, emergency shelter, case management, and other services to individuals and families who are homeless and/or hungry in Humboldt County. Coast Central Announces Five Member Services Promotions

Five employees have recently been promoted at Coast Central Credit Union, including two newly created positions. Coast Central’s Community Grant Program Awards $150,000

Coast Central Credit Union President/CEO James T. Sessa announced that its Board of Directors has approved $150,000 in grants to 20 local organizations through its Community Investment Program’s fall round.  A total of 112 non-profits had requested $1.5 million, a new record for the 15-year-old program.  Coast Central also supports its communities through sponsorships and college scholarships for a total of $650,000 this year throughout Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.  Additionally, Coast Central employees contribute 5,000 hours annually in volunteerism. Aaron Anderson Joins Coast Central Credit Union as Weaverville Manager

Coast Central Credit Union announced that Aaron Anderson has joined the organization as Manager, Member Services of its Weaverville location at 40 Glen Road. Aaron oversees a team of six employees and has responsibility for operations, lending, and new member opportunities in Weaverville and surrounding areas. Coast Central Credit Union announced that Christian Hernandez has joined the organization as a Mortgage Loan Services Officer based at its McKinleyville location, reporting to Mortgage Loan Originations Manager Lisa Hall. In his new role, Hernandez assists with all mortgage loan needs for home purchases, refinances, and home equity loans and lines of credit, including guidance with the entire process from application to closing, with expertise in required forms, disclosures, and reporting. Sessa announced that its Board of Directors has approved an increase in the number of scholarships awarded and selected 25 exceptional high school seniors out of 70 applications submitted. CCCU had previously awarded 19 students last year and 11 the previous several years.
